Seafood away from the coast is never going to be as good as it could. But for the desert, this really isn't too shabby. Especially when fall rolls around and they have endless shrimp! Don't stuff yourself on the sides (or the biscuits) and try all the different kinds. And a little hint, you can order coconut shrimp bites as one of your choices if you ask, even though it isn't listed. It's the reason I keep going back. The grilled Sriracha shrimp were a great addition this year as well. Terrible Terrible Terrible.. We came to Red Lobster yesterday and was extremely packed at the entrance once we were seated we received a terrible server who was clueless about his job. He forgot we ordered drinks and later told us my steak was burnt so they made another one meanwhile my wife's salmon and shrimps were in the back getting cold. Finally we got our food and everything was fine afterwards. My wife got food poisoning last night we had to go to the ER this morning after she threw up blood. Never coming back to this location. Had the shrimpfest. The price went up, but the quality went down. I think this will be my last year of shrimpfest. It's unfortunate since I used to look forward to it. I am a frequent visitor here. They generally like to take care of you as much as they can. The atmosphere is also great since the revamped it over a year ago. We do not come often, but the service, atmosphere and food is consistent. Today I ordered the large salmon from the fresh fish menu. I usually order the wood grilled shrimp, salmon and lobster tail, but I'm trying to eat better. My wife has ordered the salmon before and said it was really good, so I gave it a try! I ordered the salmon with pineapple habanero, because I like spicy food. I knew it wasn't going to burn because this is a mainstream place. The sauce was sweet and spicy. The waitress said the large salmon would be about 1. It should have came out with butter. Over all the Orem Red Lobster is always good. We waited for over an hour and a half to be seated when they gave us an estimate of 4. It was my husband's birthday and they said they don't give out birthday desserts. And the lobster was overcooked. Also do not do any discount for active military. They need SECRET SHOPPER at this particular location; service is very poor; second time in a row that service has been less than even average. Request him for attentive service, great suggestions and a down right positve vibe. I ordered the endless shrimp and the food was good. Their service was terrible. We have been here for almost three hours, most of the time was spent just waiting. I am surprised that an establishment like this wouldn't have better service. On a side note, I did like their garlic shrimp scampi. My wife *loves* Red Lobster and kept begging me to go (I had never gone before), so I eventually caved. I had the snow crab, and she had one of the pasta bakes (I don't remember which one, I think there were 2 or 3 to pick from). Our food was great, and I especially loved the cheesy biscuits, but unfortunately our server only gave us one basket. We requested more, but she seemed a little aloof/stingy with the biscuits. Maybe they were running low that night? Other than the biscuit- pinching (as in, the biscuit version of penny- pinching), everything was pretty great. Our server was nice, don't get me wrong, but didn't really deliver on the biscuits in my opinion. Maybe I'm picky; maybe it's normal for Red Lobster to only give out 1 basket of biscuits. I don't know; maybe we'll find out if/when I cave to my wife's palate again. The weight was much longer than I would have liked both to receive my food and throughout my visit but I can't complain about the food. The biscuits were mind- blowing and the salmon was to die for. I can't wait to go back in and try something new! Excellent food! I always get the lobster tail and it never fails me! Delicious from the start. The waiters are always upbeat and great! Highly recommended. We had the best service we have had anywhere for a very long time! James S was kind, attentive and made it a great experience! The food was wonderful and of course the biscuits were heaven! We walked right in, but apparently it's hard to get seated on the weekends. A little expensive for tonight's food, but normally I don't mind paying $7. Well despite all the picky eaters that rated lower, I liked this place. Going to Red Lobster is a rare treat (being college students will do that), and I enjoy it very much. We went during lobster fest, and I got the dish that came with a split lobster tail, crab, shrimp, and scallops. Yes we are in Utah and it will never be as good as a location right on the coast, but I think it was good considering. Our waiter was a little.. He kept trying to crack jokes that were just plain weird, but was quick to get our food to us. How did this place get only one review before I got here. I understand this is the only Red Lobster in the country with no bar area at all. Bars are gross. I've eaten at too many Red Lobsters. This is one of the better ones. They don't over cook the shrimp and snow crab. I haven't ventured too deep into the fresh fish. I don't trust them for that. When you bring a bottle of wine, it becomes a big deal. You do it twice, they remember you. I don't dine here a lot, but when I do - - I know what to expect and they do a really decent job of it. Service by our waitress was great. She was right there with what we needed. The seating was a little slow. We waited 1. 5 minutes to be seated and they were almost empty. We went here for a birthday and it was the birthday girls choice. I would not pick a chain place. The cheddar biscuits were over cooked. The waitress was great though and the ladies enjoyed the lava cookie with ice cream. If you want seafood go to a place by the ocean. Everyone so often Red Lobster lures me in with the promise of freshly prepared and delicious seafood.. Red Lobster soaks their shrimp in enough butter to drown a man and give you a helluva gut bomb to boot. Sure their cheese biscuits are great but man cannot live in bread alone. I've tried several dishes at Red Lobster trying to find something that I really like and sadly I just strike out every time. It's too bad too because my wife really loves Red Lobster. Maybe our tastes in seafood are just different?
